In the early fifties, the Genoese aristocrat Paolo De Ferrari and his wife, during
a trip to Elba Island, was literally captured by the beauty of the sandy beach
and by the intense transparent blue color of the sea. This is the reason why the
Hotel Hermitage was built, where once there was a small fishing village. Nowadays,
the hotel rises beautifully with its 11 villas completely surrounded by nature
in a private park of 4 hectares, just in front of the Biodola sandy beach, the
more exclusive of the island, protected by hills, and bordered on both sides by
low cliffs. |
