From  Mario Camerini’s memories, one of the pioneers of Tourism on Elba Island, and his son’s:  1955….. Gulf of Procchio, on the road towards Marciana a little restaurant “Il Gabbiano” from which, later in 1956, will rise Hotel del Golfo, 27 rooms, a booth and 4 deck chairs  on the beach…..
Today the relaxing view of the hills, the deep green of a thick and high vegetation that extends from low cliffs to the sea, the pleasant village of Procchio, are a picturesque setting of the elegant hotel located on one of the most beautiful sandy beaches of the Island, directly in front of the sea, offering a splendid view of the Gulf.
The Hotel, completely set on a flat surface is composed by a main building and 5 villas in beautifully landscaped gardens which extend to the sea , where the rooms and suites recently renovated are located.
